Administrative Assistant

Jennifer Temps is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations within a structured government office environment in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Your Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference calls
  • Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical)
  • Perform data entry and update spreadsheets and databases
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries professionally
  • Assist with document scanning, copying, and distribution
  • Track information requests and assist with reporting tasks
  • Support office staff with administrative assignments as needed

Our requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a government or regulated office environment
  • Experience maintaining confidential files and records
  • Experience with document management systems
