Administrative Assistant
Jennifer Temps is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations within a structured government office environment in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Your Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference calls
- Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical)
- Perform data entry and update spreadsheets and databases
- Respond to phone and email inquiries professionally
- Assist with document scanning, copying, and distribution
- Track information requests and assist with reporting tasks
- Support office staff with administrative assignments as needed
Our requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a government or regulated office environment
- Experience maintaining confidential files and records
- Experience with document management systems
