Social Worker
Jennifer Temps is seeking a licensed Social Worker to support regulatory complaint intake and surveillance oversight within a New York State agency division in Albany, NY. This role requires strong communication skills, regulatory interpretation abilities, and experience managing sensitive complaint investigations in a structured government environment.
Your Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and triage complaints against Adult Care Facilities
- Screen complaints and finalize initial report within 1 hour of receipt
- Document complaints in a secure centralized tracking database
- Contact complainants to obtain additional information
- Prepare and send correspondence regarding complaint disposition
- Respond to general inquiries regarding complaint processes
- Participate in daily case review and process improvement activities
- Assist with management reporting
- Participate in training and continuing education activities
- Retrieve and triage voicemail complaints on select weekends/holidays
Our requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed and currently registered by NYS as LMSW or LCSW
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with one year of post-bachelor experience
- Strong telephone and listening skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with complex data entry systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret NYS laws and regulations governing adult care facilities
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience in regulatory or surveillance environments
- Strong time management skills
