Technical Data Lead

Data Architecture & Systems Leadership

• Design and oversee scalable data architectures, pipelines, and integrations.

• Ensure data systems align with business goals and technology standards.

• Lead technical projects, including migrations, modernizations, and automation initiatives.

Data Governance & Quality

• Implement data governance frameworks, policies, and controls.

• Monitor data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Establish best practices for data security and access management.

Collaboration & Business Support

• Serve as the point of contact between business teams and technical data teams.

• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and reporting frameworks.

• Partner with leadership to support data-driven decision-making.

Technical Leadership

• Guide data engineers, analysts, and other technical staff in daily operations.

• Provide mentorship and ensure best practices in coding, database management, and system optimization.

• Oversee implementation and maintenance of BI tools, data warehouses, and cloud-based data environments.

Operations & Availability

• Ensure data operations run smoothly during regular business hours.

• Provide after-hours support when required for urgent projects, system issues, or production releases.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

7+ years of experience in data engineering, database management, or IT leadership.

Expertise in SQL, ETL processes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and security standards.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and technical projects.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to balance day-to-day technical tasks with strategic data planning.
